Jumper 2.0 is an Open Community

The Jumper 2.0 Open Source Project is a community effort. We invite open participation in this blog. Anyone who is currently using the Jumper 2.0 platform, is currently doing development on the platform, or has just installed the platform please feel free to contribute. Jumper 2.0 is a collaborative search engine. It is open source software that empowers people to collaborate with friends and colleagues and share information. Jumper uses peer and social-networking principles to tag and link distributed information resources to create an interactive, user-submitted, recommendation engine that allows you to search any content, media, or data regardless of format or location.

It delivers intelligent, collaborative, community of practice search directly to the knowledge workers who need it most. Professional communities formed around specific skill-sets (i.e. composite material engineering, protein research) or job descriptions (program director, policy analyst) are the core of Jumper's community of practice approach. Jumper is a point solution approach to search. By sharing information resources together based on professional domain, organizations can break down administrative silos.
